Allison Stokke and Alyce Caron

Allison Stokke, born in Newport Beach, California on 22 March 1989, is one of America's most famous and wealthiest Pole Vaulters. 2007 was the year that a photo of Stokke competing in an age-appropriate track meet became viral and she was hailed as an expert pole-vaulter. Instagram and Twitter are now her most popular social media platforms. She is well known as a track and field athlete similar to Jessica Ennis Hill. Matt Ufford, the owner of the site where the photograph was posted, had been threatened with a lawsuit from the photographer in the event that the photo was not removed. However the article received an enormous amount of attention from other sites and the image was subsequently removed. A memorial website for Stokke was soon up and running with a number of images of her competing in the pole vault and following the spread of these photos on social media websites, fan pages, it gained hundreds of followers.
