Dua Lipa was was born to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa A Rexha Lipa and Dukagjin Dukagjin in London on August 22, 1995. Due to her maternal grandmother she has Bosnian origin. Her ancestors could also be traced back to the Kosovo cities of Peja. Lipa's grandfathers were both historians. Lipa has a brother Gjin Lipa and a sister Rina. Her father, a leader and guitarist of the Kosovan band Oda, influenced her musically.
