Julia Fiona Roberts is the daughter of Betty Lou Bredemus, and Walter Grady Roberts. She was born on 28 October 1967 in Atlanta. Julia Fona Roberts is the 4th generation Roberts that resided in Atlanta. The Robertses' father was interested in theater from a young time. As a student in Emory University he appeared in numerous productions on and off campus. When he joined the Air Force, in 1953 he appeared in an airforce production in Biloxi along with Betty Lou Bredemus. Eric Anthony was their first born. The couple was married in the year. Walter went to Tulane University at New Orleans in the year 1957, after the couple left the US Air Force. Walter was employed to work for Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio to assist on the stage of the show Bum Bum and His Buddies in Decatur Georgia. Walter and Betty Lou financed their own production of a Sunday morning children's show, Bum Bum and His Buddies. The following year, they started the Actors and Writers Workshop which ran for a period of six years. Lelisa Billingsley, also known as Lisa was born in 1965. Julia Billingsley followed in 1967.
