Julia Fiona Roberts, born October 28, 1967 at Atlanta in the United States to Betty Lou Bredemus & Walter Grady Roberts. Roberts is fourth in the Roberts generation that has lived in Atlanta, beginning with her grandfather who was a farmer, John Pendleton Roberts. In the early years of his life, her dad became fascinated by acting. As a college students studying at Emory University from 1952 to 1954, he took part in numerous performances. In 1953, he joined the Air Force. While stationed in Biloxi in Mississippi acted in a production that he performed in with Betty Lou Bredemus. They got married in 2005, and had their first child, Eric Anthony in 1956. Walter along with his wife quit the military in 1957, when they enrolled Walter at Tulane University. In 1960 the family moved to Decatur Georgia where Walter began working for Atlanta's Academy Theater and the Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. Walter as well as Betty Lou produced a Saturday morning show on local television that was aimed at children, called Bum Bum and His Buddies in 1964. It was a venture that they funded themselves. The Actors and Writers Workshop was created in the year 1964 and ran for 6 years. Lelisa Billingsley often referred to as Lisa, was born in the year 1965. Julia Billingsley followed in 1967.
