Coleman was born in the town of Blackpool in Lancashire. Coleman attended Arnold School in Blackpool where she was the head girl. She also gained straight As in her A-levels. When discussing her character from Emmerdale, Coleman expressed regret for not attending a university. Coleman joined a theater company, In Yer Space while during her time at university. She performed with them in the Edinburgh Festival for the play Crystal Clear. The performance received praise, and the play received favorable reviews. Coleman was given the part of Jasmine Thomas at Emmerdale while performing in drama school in 2005. Coleman received two nominations for Awards in 2007. She was named The Best Newcomer in the British Soap Awards and Most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. Coleman was awarded nominations in the categories of Best Actress, Sexiest Woman and for the Best Dramatic Performance at the British Soap Awards 2009. Coleman was also nominated as Best Actress at the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat, the producer of Doctor Who confirmed in a 21st March press conference in 2012 that Coleman will be Matt Smith's character after Karen Gillan left. Moffat decided to put her in the role because she has the best chemistry with Smith. Also, she spoke more quickly than he does. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Since 1987, she's been involved in television and film projects. She has however had a greater presence on television rather than in movies. In all the roles Eva has appeared in on television shows like Dr. Maria Santos in All My Children and the detective Natalia Boa Vista' in CSI Miami are the two which make an impression. Actually, her character as Doctor. Maria Santos on All My Children landed her the two Daytime Emmy nominations. This provided her with the opportunity to display her talent in music. Eva is, along with acting as an actress, is an entrepreneur, philanthropist and business owner. Eva has three husbands, and an infant from the third.
